Water Sports Snorkelling

The Coral Island, locally called Koh Tan, is a primitive tranquil island and spans an area is 7.5 square kilometers.

The island is considered to be the neighboring island of Koh Samui. On the island lies a small pristine village and there is neither car nor road. The island, surrounded by coral reef with serene white sandy beaches, offers a perfect spot for snorkeling and sun-bathing.

This tour will take you by local boat from the Thong Tanot pier out to Koh Tan where you can play Robinson Crusoe! Local legend has it that this island is bewitched and as such no dog can live there! There is time here for swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing before heading onto the next island Koh Mus-sum. Lunch is served at a local restaurant.

Water Sports Scuba Diving

Have you ever dreamed of seeing the marvels of the underwater world? Would you like the opportunity to explore the spectacular variety of underwater reefs, rock formations and colorful sea life found in the Bay of Banderas and the Mexican Pacific? Learn how to scuba dive on this easy, safe and fast resort course while vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The Puerto Vallarta resort diving course is an introductory program that allows anyone 10 years or older to experience scuba diving in the easiest, safest and most enjoyable way.

Although some restrictions may apply, beginner divers just have to follow two easy steps:

Day 1: Take a lesson with a dive instructor at one of the resorts listed (plan this at least one day before your dive). Course completion prepares you for an open water dive at either the Marietas Islands or Las Caletas.

Day 2: Take a 1-tank dive trip to either the Las Caletas or Marietas Islands.

Las Caletas
Situated on the south side of Banderas Bay, Las Caletas is an exclusive tropical beach hideaway with underwater caves and natural reefs. Home to a diverse array of sea life, colorful tropical fish, turtles and manta rays,  it is considered to be one of the finest scuba diving locations on the Pacific coast of Mexico.

Marietas Islands
Originally made famous by Jacques Cousteau in the 1970's, the Marietas Islands Marine Reserve has now become one of the most popular areas in Western Mexico for scuba diving. Part of an underwater mountain range that peaks above the ocean's surface, the Marietas Islands mark the entrance to Banderas Bay from the Pacific.

Water Sports Snorkelling

From St. Martin, take this half day snorkeling excursion to the rock formation, Creole Rock. Here, in the calm, crystal clear waters, you'll snorkel amongst the many varieties of fish and may even catch a glimpse of the rare frogfish. Ice cold beverages are included on board, as well as a fresh French baguette for all the hungry snorkelers!

Sand Dollar is a great half day trip from St. Martin, offering sightseeing, snorkeling and swimming. Captain Alex is one of our most complimented staff members and will be looking after your tour group for the day!

The cruise takes guests through the lagoon, along our beautiful coastline and up to Creole Rock, off Grand Case. Creole Rock is a large rock formation with a reef extending out towards to the mainland, about a mile offshore. Waters are shallow and calm and provide excellent snorkeling. The boat picks up a mooring in a large sandy patch, in about 8 feet (2.4 meters) of water.

The shallow water, while being great for diving, offers great chances of seeing the rare frogfish, puffer fish, occasional barracuda and many different varieties of reef fish. Divers are welcome, however they must bring their own equipment.

A large cooler keeps beers and sodas ice cold for refreshment throughout the day and bread and cheese are served to hungry snorkelers. Guests should bring towels, hats, sun block and bathing suits. Underwater cameras are on sale in our boutique for those who wish to capture the beauty of the underwater world!

Non swimmers are also welcome to share in the enjoyable boat ride with great views of Anguilla from Creole Rock.

Water Sports Scuba Diving

Diving in Aruba is famous for the spectacular shipwrecks and interesting coral formations that dominate Aruba's underwater realm. This includes the 400 ft. Antilla wreck, one of the largest wrecks in the Caribbean. Most of Aruba's dive sites lie along the protected western and southern coasts, a short distance from the hotels on Palm Beach.

Aruba's waters are rich in exotic marine life, including stingrays, moray eels, manta rays, barracudas and yellow tail. A large, shallow sand plateau surrounds Aruba making boat travel the most convenient method of reaching the off-shore reefs. Interesting coral formations are found from shallow water depths of 20 to 100 feet, with little or no current and flat surface conditions.

  • Junior divers (ages 10 and 11 yrs. old) are not allowed on the 2-tank AM dives, as they are limited to a 40-foot depth. They are welcome on the afternoon 1-tank dive

Head out to the most famous snorkel spot in Aruba, "the Antilla Ship Wreck", aboard a luxury catamaran. Dip your mask underwater, kick your fins, and discover the 400-foot (122 meters) long wreck, which is now home to a variety of tropical fish and colorful coral. Along the way, you'll also stop at Catalina Bay - ideal for beginner snorkelers.

At Catalina Bay, a nice shallow area ideal for those who have not snorkeled in a long time, you will explore the shallow waters and enjoy a variety of colorful tropical fish and several species of corals.

Then onto the famous Antilla Ship Wreck, a 400 ft. (122 meters) long German freighter resting in 60 ft. (18 meters) of water. When the Germans invaded Holland during World War ll, this German freighter was scuttled by its Captain on purpose to avoid confiscation by the Dutch in Aruba. The wreck is now the new home to exotic fish and corals. Fish include: The Parrot Fish, Barracudas, Fresh Angel Fish, Yellow Tail Snapper, Grunt, Blue Tang, Butterfly Fish, Green Moray , Puffer Fish, Sergeant Mayor, Southern Stingray, Queen Flounder, Stoplight Parrotfish and Trumpet Fish.

The catamaran has a top speed of 35 miles per hour in Aruba's famous winds, but still offers an very stable ride. It also features two marine bathrooms, two sunning nets, plenty of seating space, stereo music and a fully stocked bar.
